There are a few key metrics that make up a good invented (non-keyword) brand domain name:
1.) Pronounceability – The name should be easily pronounced.
2.) Radio Test – Can the name be said over the radio without being spelled out?
3.) Domain Extension – Usually, the name should be a .com
4.) Length – The name should be short. The shorter the better, usually 3 – 7 letters.
4.) Optional: The invented brand can be based off of a word. As an example, a few years ago many companies were adding ly to the end of basic words.
